Her tenure at the Marion County Courts (February 1991 – August 1994) marked her entry into the legal system as a Clerk. Here, she was immersed in operational intricacies, managing filings, preparing prisoner transport orders, updating release information, and meticulously organizing court documents. Her responsibilities extended to taking minutes, updating files, and handling client inquiries, honing her organizational skills and providing a panoramic view of legal processes. This early exposure laid crucial groundwork for her future endeavors.

Following her court role, Kelly transitioned to the Marion County Public Defenders Office as a Paralegal (August 1994 – May 1998). Initially a floating paralegal, she gained diverse exposure to various courts and case types, instrumental in developing her research capabilities. Working across a spectrum of legal challenges, she acquired a broad understanding of legal practice, further solidifying her practical legal knowledge.

Her experience continued to broaden at Henry Legal, where she served as a Legal Practice Manager (September 2001 – April 2009). This role saw Kelly taking on comprehensive responsibilities spanning law firm operations, including organization, client intake, and managing marketing. Crucially, she gained direct experience in typing bankruptcy petitions, copying information, and coordinating calendars. Her ability to gather, compile, and analyze information from diverse sources became a cornerstone of her expertise. She actively managed office case files, conducted weekly file reviews, interviewed new client prospects, and assisted with credit repair, debt settlement, and bankruptcy filings. This period was pivotal, providing deep insights into the operational and client-facing aspects of legal practice, particularly in the realm of bankruptcy.

Concurrently, Kelly also served as a Paralegal at Coleman Law Office (August 2007 – Present), accumulating 18 years of experience. In this role, she supported a General Practice Law Firm with specialties in Bankruptcy, Criminal Law, Family Law, and Personal Injury. Her responsibilities as a Litigation Paralegal involved diverse and complex hands-on work with clients, including preparing responses to discovery requests, managing documents, and compiling information for analysis. She also drafted pleadings and gained extensive e-filing experience with Pacer. This long-standing position underscored her commitment to the paralegal profession and continuous engagement with the practicalities of legal support, especially in bankruptcy law.

It evolved into a one-stop shop, offering administrative, paralegal, marketing, and IT services, coupled with coaching and training for law firms. MCN’s philosophy revolved around coaching, guiding, and inspiring businesses to enhance performance, grow, and prosper, while upholding ethics. Beyond support and bankruptcy processing, MCN expanded to include public relations, blogging, and website development. Through this, Kelly showcased her acumen as a strategic business developer, building comprehensive support systems for law firms.
